December is a busy month

No this is not the usual annual reflection (I’ll do that in the new year) or a ‘best wishes everyone’ (you know we wish you all the best). But before we leave for our weekend trip I’ll let you all in on what’s going on currently in S&D world:

First of all we got a message at the end of November / early December letting us know that our planned studio time (29/30/31 Januari) for the “Weight Of The World” EP wasn’t going to work. Luckily we could reschedule (thanks to Nico and Cheating Death for helping us out here!). They’re now spread over 3 separate dates and pushed forward 2 weeks. Nothing big, we’ll just have to shift gears a bit. We’ll still be done in time for the European trip.

Then we got notice from Joep last week that he couldn’t do the release weekend (the one we’re leaving for tomorrow) because of job issues. It’s not his fault or anything, but it sucks. So we had to drop working on the new songs and find a replacement fast. Enter our saviour Rick. You’ll more about him later, all you need to know for now is that we focused entirely on learning him the songs for this weekend. And he managed to do just that, so give the dude some credit.

Aside from that there were final preparations to be done for the “Feel It” EP that we’re releasing this weekend. The last couple of days have been spend finishing and printing the lyric sheets, programming the download system and printing the download cards and stuff like that. Oh and there was a van to be picked up and between all of that we had some regular work to do too.

So in case you wondering why we didn’t mail you back yet about your pre-order (still a couple of copies left by the way)… We just didn’t have the time yet (the same reason my Some Will Never Know #2 zine is pushed back for an early 2010 release). They’re all noted though, no worries. After this weekend we’ll get to all of you as soon as possible. And I would like to take this opportunity to say, once again, thanks to you guys (& girls) for the support. It’s appreciated.

But in the end it all comes down to the shows this weekend. We’re hoping to close off the year with a bang, so we hope to see all of you there:

First up is JUHA, Rosswein:

We only heard good stuff about JUHA and we’re siked to see Michael (Greyli) again. Awesome dude.

Sunday we’re hitting Aachen again, to play with our friends in Goldust and World Gone Mad:

Come on over and do the twist.
