FAMILY AND A PINK VAN
2008-11-17
Guess it's time for another update from the far, far away Taiwan since we've got some new pictures from Joost. Amazing.Last week he had a visit from his family. Totally different setting than usual, pretty cool.
Joost also found us a perfect new touring van:

And how about this one? It immediately made me think of Whacky Wheels. Only for real this time. Who doesn't want to ride around in a big inflatable shark?

And even over there, there's a little piece of home:

PS > In case you didn't read the previous posts, Joost our drummer is currently "studying" in Taiwan, Henri (from Maaswater Veenlijk fame) is replacing him. Now and then we get these updates ;)

NEW SONG, UK TRIP
2008-10-25
"TODAY" - new song up - new tape
As you might already know (considering the great feedback we've got already), we recently recorded 3 new songs together with Nico van Montfort. We uploaded one of those songs to our Myspace and site. Aside from that we also planned to have tapes ready for our trip to the UK, but since we've got em ready to go already, you can order it from our online distro right away. Go listen to "Today".
UK TRIP
We're siked to get over to the UK again at the end of November, we had a blast last time. We can't wait to return to Le Pub in Newport, to play Guitar Hero with mr Bob Royce (from Reality fame) and check out the country. Aside from the tape mentioned above, we're also making some limited UK covers for our "Endless Roads" 7", because we can.
Come check us out at:
28th of November - Brighton
29th of November - Birmingham

Also pick up the Lifers zine if you get the chance, great read and looks stunning too. HENRI IN FULL EFFECT
2008-09-12
Last Sunday we did that benefit for Reflections and Cursed. Aside from the fact that we made some money for them, it was a really cool show. Henri did great! It's strange to be playing with someone else behind the drums after all those years, but it's working out great so far. It was cool to play with The Hunger (great new band, check em out! They're releasing a CD/LP on Shield Recordings), State Of Mind (one of the coolest bands from the Netherlands) and Strike First (that Life Of Agony cover alone is worth seeing them, heavy stuff). Props go out to the organisation (Freek, Lucas!) for having the heart to set something up, to actually do something (while not even gaining from it themselves), in this world that gets more passive by the day. Awesome. By the way, if anyone has pics from the show, get in touch! So now we have the first show behind us, get us some other shows. We want to play everywhere, any day, any place. Hook us up! Just get in touch and we'll work something out. Deeeeew it!
In other news, Joost landed safely in Taiwan and reported he saw some monkees walking by his place. How about that? I'll try to get some more from him (pictures?).
BELIEVE ME NOW, I'LL BE LEFT BEHIND
2008-09-01
So what's going on in S&D world?First of all, half of us went to see Only Living Witness in Eindhoven. Although they felt a bit misplaced at the festival and the sound wasn't that great it was amazing to finally get the chance to see them play. They were amazing and really great guys as well. Be on the look out for the 2-LP vinyl reissue on Reflections that's coming out this month. Well worth your money.
On a more band related note, last week we locked ourselves away in Panningen. We recorded 3 new songs with Nico van Montfort. It was great working with him, kinda like we expected. Look out for some amazing stuff he recently recorded (including new Tenement Kids, Strike First, Smash The Statues and New Morality releases). We have no idea what we're going to do with those 3 songs yet, we'll see.
Aside from that we have one final rehearsal coming up and then it's showtime for our new drummer, Henri. His first show will be a benefit for both Reflections and Cursed, this sunday @ DB's in Utrecht. Show starts at 15:30 and we're going up first. Get your ass over there and contribute. If it's not for the good cause, be there to check out some awesome bands. Aside from us Strike First, State Of Mind, The Hunger & Human Demise are playing.
PS > We've updated the tour report of our last trip through Europe with some new pictures. If you're bored you know what to do...
PS2 > Listen to Feed. They'll have a demo tape out on Mind Over Matter soon.
SURPRISE SHOW
2008-08-24
Last Friday we played a surprise show @ cafe 't Hert in Sint Anthonis (our hometown). To say goodbye to Joost and to welcome Henri.Joost didn't know anything (well, he started to suspect something the day before), so it was a pretty cool surprise for him. We couldn't advertise the show, since it was a surprise, but the news spread fast by word of mouth.
It was the first we played live with Henri (3 songs, with Joost in the audience for a change, watching us play) and he killed it. After that Joost took over. It's going to be strange to be playing without Joost for half a year, but we're sure glad Henri stepped in. No slowing down. He's doing great. We would like to thank all of you for showing up. We had a blast.
SPRAYPAINT THE WALLS

2008-08-04
Andrew just put up a review of our record on his site, aversionline.com. Go check it out.In other news, we had a great rehearsel last night. New songs are coming along nicely and Henri is doing awesome learning our songs. Good times.
ANOTHER SONG UP FOR LISTEN
2008-07-30
We've put up "Empty Soul" from the "Endless Roads" EP. You can listen to the song in the mediaplayer on the front page or on our Myspace. Have fun.PS > Another (!) song, "Rearrange" can be heard on the last playlist of the Canadian Flex Your Head radioshow, check it out at http://www.flexyourhead.net/blog/wordpress/?p=129#more-129.
JOOST GOING INTO THE DISTANCE
2008-07-27
As promised I would put up a post with more info about Joost temporary departure, here we go:Joost, the dude I started jamming with back in '99 played his last show with Said And Done for a while in Belgium with us, the last minute show at the really cool Moshvalley fest. Luckily enough it's only for half a year, he'll be back in February 2009. Here's what he has to say about it:
Hey guys,
As part of my study Logistics and Economics I'm going to study abroad in Taiwan. They call it a minor. I will follow 6 different subject at the National Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung.
I want to experience how it is to live and study in a different country. I hope to improve my speaking and writing capabilities in English. Aside from that it's very good for my personal development.
It was very difficult for me to make this decision, because Said And Done is a very big part of my life. They are my friends, my music mates :) And the thing is, without a drummer it's impossible for them to move on. I'm very happy that they reacted really positive anyway when when I told them the news.
Don't worry though. Now with Henri on drums Said And Done will not slow down, they'll be just the same as when I'm on drums.
I know I'm going to miss this the next half year. I saw these people twice a week most of the time, sometimes more.
That's all there is to tell right now.
Take care,
Joost
I'm going to push him to send out some updates on his stay now and then. For now he's going to finish writing the new songs with us and record them right before he leaves. We're going to miss that dude.
Like you can read from Joost up above, we've already got a replacement lined-up. Meet Henri, the current drummer of Maaswater Veenlijk (check them out!):
We know Henri for a long time now and Remco even played in a band with him years ago. He went along for the ride on our European trip and he did blend right in. We're really glad he's willing to take over the drum sticks for the upcoming period. We rehearsed a couple of times now and things are right on schedule, we'll use the rest of the summer to learn him all the songs so we can blast ahead full speed again.
Get in touch if you want us to play (after the summer). We're just back but we can't wait to get things rolling again.
LAST-MINUTE SHOW AT MOSHVALLEY
2008-07-24
We'll be replacing Fast Point from the UK tomorrow @ Moshvalley Fest in Belgium.
That line-up isn't up-to-date anymore though, for more info check:
http://www.myspace.com/moshvalleyfest
Hope to see you there!
FLEX YOUR HEAD, AIRPLAY IN CANADA
2008-07-23
Flex Your Head is not only the name of a great compilation album, it's also a Vancouver-based hardcore and punk radio program broadcasting weekly since 1989 on CiTR 101.9fm.This week Mike played a track of Endless Roads on his show, "Empty Soul". You can check out an MP3/Podcast of it right here. So if you didn't hear that track yet, now is your chance.
The tracklist of this week includes bands like Trapped Under Ice, Shipwreck, Meltdown and Alpha And Omega. So you're not going to regret downloading that MP3.
NEW INTERVIEW UP
2008-07-21
I guess I'll try to post up here more often instead of a long update once a month or something. So here we go:Rold just posted an interview he did with us this week at his blog, A Riot Of My Own. Go check it out at:
http://xroldx.blogspot.com/
http://xroldx.blogspot.com/
http://xroldx.blogspot.com/
It also has interviews with Have Heart, Good Riddance, Paint It Black and some reviews (Birds Of A Feather, Atlas Losing Grip (new Shield Recordings band!). Coming up are interviews with No Turning Back, Verse, The Loved Ones, Birds X Of A Feather and Room 13. So keep your eyes on that site.
In other news we'll write a report on our trip through Eruope as soon as possible (it might end up at lifersmontreal.com, so keep an eye on that site) and we're currently finishing some new songs that we'll probably record at the end of August before Joost leaves for half a year. I'll dedicate a post to him leaving somewhere this week I guess.
WE'RE BACK
2008-07-16
We're back! Well actually, we've been since last sunday, but still...
Anyway, we had A BLAST! Thank you all so much for putting us up, singing along, tearing down the place etc. Once again, a time we'll not forget. FOREVER IN OUR MINDS.
We'll post a more detailed tourreport soon.
The above picture is taken in Rennes in France (by trasher). If you have any other pictures or video material from our trip, please get in touch. We would love to receive it!
2008-06-07
Yo.Damn, busy times. Lots of stuff going on at the moment. Just a quick update before we'll leave to Hengelo to release our 7"/MCD, I'll post some more later this week.
FRESH WEBSITE / MYSPACE
First of all, as you can (hopefully) see, both the site and our Myspace did get a new paint job. Aside from the altered look, there's some new functionality to the site as well. We've added two RSS feeds, one for this blog (a fancy word for news) and one for the upcoming shows. So you never have to miss anything again related to S&D. In case you're not familiar with RSS, check this link. It's the future.
ENDLESS ROADS
+ Cheating Death (Social Distortion style!) who were added pretty much last-minute.
Anyway, today we'll officially release our 7"/MCD at Innocent in Hengelo (NL). We hope to see you there, to party hard. We'll have limited release covers for all you vinyl freaks. Promo's and pre-orders are already send out though (think we've got a couple left in case anyone's interested). We're pretty stoked about the good reviews and reactions so far.
Pim
2008-04-16
Hello world,
Are you paying attention Spain? Do you recognize the place on the cover? It's the harbour in Gijon. All photos used in the artwork were taken during our trip to Spain early last year.
Oh in case you missed it, a short recap: We recorded an EP with Dirk Miers at De Studio in Asse (BE) at the beginning of this year. Nico van Montfort took care of the mastering at XPZ Sound in Nijmegen (NL). 4 songs of that session will end up on a 7" (no room left for a single second of music without decreasing sound quality) and all 6 of them will make it to the MCD.
With the mastering and artwork being done now and a date for the releaseshow being set, we can finally put up an MP3 and start to take pre-orders. So here we go:
MP3
Into The Distance
Or you can always check it out at our Myspace.
RELEASE SHOW
The release show is set for the 7th of June @ Innocent, Hengelo (NL). We're glad we'll be playing the recently renewed Innocent again. We love the place. As for other bands playing, we're working on it, but Tenement Kids (NL) and Mans Ruin (BE) will be there to join the party with us. More info later.
ORDERING INFO
All pre-orders will be shipped before the release show (end of May), so you can learn how to mumble along to the words and put on your dancing shoes for some serious 'move-rehearsels'. All for the show, you have to look good in those pictures right? God forbid if you end up on youtube looking silly. Anyway, the 7" pre-orders will have limited edition (Oooooh) cover artwork and on top of that you will receive a code to download the MP3's. Because we're living in the digital age now.
Prices, postage paid:
7":
1: NL: € 5,50 / Europe: € 6,50 / World: € 9,00
2: NL: € 10,- / Europe: € 12,- / World € 18,-
3 NL: € 14,- / Europe: € 16,- / World € 22,-
MCD:
1: NL: € 7,50 / Europe: € 8,50 / World: € 11,00
2: NL: € 14,- / Europe: € 16,- / World € 22,-
3 NL: € 20,- / Europe: € 22,- / World € 28,-
More copies / distro's? Get in touch for some nice wholesale rates.
Since postage prices are a bitch, it's better if you hook up with some friends and get some multiple copies at once so you all save on shipping costs. Unity, you know. Or you can simply pick up your copy at a show, MCD's will be 6 euro at shows, 7"es will be 4 euro.
But simply put:
PRE-ORDER YOUR 7" COPY NOW! DEW IT!
PRE-ORDER YOUR MCD COPY NOW! DEW IT!

So after a short time of writing new songs, preparing for and recording a new release we're getting geared up again. Full speed ahead. Here's the deal:
ENDLESS ROADS
Maybe you've heard about it already, maybe you didn't, but our upcoming release is called "Endless Roads" and will be released by the great people at Shield Recordings again. We've recorded 6 songs at De Studio in Asse (Belgium) on the 16 and 17th of February. 4 of those will end up on a lovely 7", all 6 of them will end up on the MCD. At the moment we're working on the mastering and artwork. Pre-order information and MP3's will follow in April. Expect a release in May.
For now we can only offer you a small preview/teaser from our trip to the studio. Nothing special, just a compilation of some shots from the studio with the recordings mixed in (please note they're NOT the final masters). It has to do for now though.
UPCOMING SHOWS / INVADING EUROPE AGAIN
We've got the following shows coming up.
2008-03-15 @ Die Volksschule, Moers (GER) / Break The Chains Fest #3 - Day II

2008-04-19 @ De Wissel, Mill (NL)
2008-05-01 @ Mechelen (BE)
2008-05-02 @ Brugge (BE)
We're working on some other shows, but since they're not confirmed yet there's no point in listing them here, keep an eye on our site or Myspace. Aside from that we're planning a short trip through Europe to visit Spain again. We've had a great time on our first trip and we're hoping for the same kind of experience. Below you can find what route we've got in mind, something like that.

DISTRO
You might have seen that the Pressure Release tapes (a small tape label I'm running) were available from our site for quite some time already, but now we decided to give the whole online distro an update. Aside from the Said And Done & Pressure Release Records (Maaswater Veenlijk tape out! Get it now so you can sell it on E-Bay when they're sold out) stuff we also carry a selection of zines. Get in touch if you want to see your stuff up there. Check it out at www.saidanddone.org/distro.

This is just a message to show we're still alive. No worries.
We'll enter De Studio in Asse this weekend to record a couple of songs. More details on that soon.
As from the weekend of the 15th and 16th of March we'll be playing shows again. We've got a couple of shows listed now, but get in touch. That list needs to grow.
2007-12-29
Time to look back, to reflect.2007
The first thing we did was releasing our first full length "Everyday", made possible by the great folks of Shield Recordings. We were pretty much blown away by the reactions, really positive reviews from all over the world. So with our record out, we got ourselves in a van and took off into the distance. Spain would be our next stop. Our first trip ever. An amazing experience for sure. Carles from Deathwishteam Girona helped us out greatly on that one, "Leuk skipak!" dude (inside pun, everyone else just ignore this). Read our report about this trip here.
When we got back it was time to play Light The Fuse, the coolest European oldschool hardcore festival by far. We owe Rob bigtime, he even pushed the festival back a week, because we would be in Spain on that date. Now how cool is that? Light The Fuse was amazing, only new upcoming bands from Europe. Who said you need big American headliners to have an amazing show? Rob proved them wrong, year after year. The week after that we got the chance to play with Gang Green at the Goudvishal, a venue that's pretty special to us. We've seen some great bands there. That month we also played our first shows in Germany and Belgium. The crowd made us feel at home right away, good times.
We also played a show with the almighty Merauder in the coolest venue of the Netherlands, Innocent. And we'll never forget a show in our hometown, playing in a bar that normally doesn't do hardcore shows, to people that (most of them) never go to hardcore shows. We didn't know what to expect, but the place went crazy.
2007 also made another dream come true, we were able to hold our own vinyl in our hands. We celebrated this with a releaseshow in both the Netherlands (this show had the most lineup/venue changes EVER, but in the end we ended up playing with Earth Crisis, Losing Streak and Deal With It amongst others at our beloved Innocent again) and Belgium (which we always love to play, scream for us Brugge, uhuh).
With out LP out, it was time to get in the van again. This time our destination was the United Kingdom. First, we made a stop in Belgium though. Jeff, Didier and everyone else that got us that very last-second show, we'll remember. That show showed us all how amazing hardcore can be. Rob Boyce was the one crazy enough to get us over to the UK. Later we learned he not only was crazy enough to do that, but playing Crazy Golf and Guitar Hero with us wasn't a problem either. And he also has the honor to be only one moshing at the amazing PLS MOSH 07 fest. No-one can top that. Read all about it on a little report we wrote here.
Other highlights include the State Of Mind (check that band out people) releaseshow at The Stage (another cool venue!), the honor to play at the 25 years of Lintfabriek party and an uplifting show in Wijhe at the Final Stand demorelease party, crazy times. We also got featured in a couple of cool zines, Rising Tide #1, Face Reality #2 and Keep It Clear #7 to name some. We love zines and if anyone wants to interview us, get in touch, because we'll be more than happy to answer your questions. We also got interviewed for bigger magazines like Aardschok and Rock Tribune. We even got a small part in a national newspaper. And I'm probably forgetting things, oh well...
It wasn't all peace and happiness though. 2007 will also be the year of a lot of venues closing down. Places we loved to play or see shows at. Most importantly hardcore landmarks (and not limited to that) like the Goudvishal in Arnhem (NL) and the Lintfabriek in Kontich (BE). It's a shame places like that are dissapearing. Hopefully good replacements will be found. To end this on a more positive note again though: Innocent in Hengelo (NL), the coolest venue in the Netherlands (if you ask me), is currently reconstructing the place and will open up again in 2008. We can't wait to play there again.
2008
Let's try to look ahead a bit as well, what will 2008 bring us? Well, first of all. A 7" with some new songs. We're currently working on a bunch of new songs. Some of them will be recorded in February, when we'll hit De Studio in Asse (Belgium). Details will be announced later on, but we can't wait to get this recorded and released.
2008 will also mark the end of two cool festivals. Light The Fuse (Netherlands) and Break The Chains (Germany), will be no more after their final editions next year. They're going out with a bang though, so be there. We'll be playing Break The Chains. At Light The Fuse you can find us in the crowd. More importantly: Who's going to take over the torch? A new name, a fresh start? Get it done. If you need a crappy flyer, you'll know where to find me.
Anyway, we're also hoping to find the time to get out of the Netherlands more. To invade some other countries again. If you want us to come over, get in touch. Shows in general actually, we wanna play, anytime, anywhere. We need to plan things out in advance though, because of work/school/internships etc.
2008 will also feature some new Pressure Release Records releases, tapes still aren't dead. Another thing I'm working on at the moment is a zine called "Some Will Never Know". I'm not going to let out more information yet, but be prepared for a lot of words.
While writing this down I really started to realize what an amazing time we actually had this year. I don't know how to thank everyone properly, everyone that helped us out in any way this year, but I'll try it in a simple way: THANKS A LOT! Hope we can count on you in the new year as well. To close this off: Be at the final Lintfabriek show (the youth are getting restless!) and enjoy new year's eve! And most importantly: Keep using your head.
- Pim / Said And Done

BRABANT SHOWS11-23 @ Area 51, Eindhoven (NL) [ TODAY!]
12-08 @ Little Devil, Tilburg (NL)
"We're from Brabant, where the fuck you from?" We're glad we're closing the year with 2 shows in the almighty Brabant area. One TODAY in Eindhoven. Together with State Of Mind, New Morality, Straight A's and Your Mistake. Be there. Starts at 22:00, so plenty of time to finish whatever you gotta do before that. Area51 is a skate area, so take your skateboard with you (if you can board, unlike us).
Next one is the 7th edition of the EUROPUNK.NET fest at the 8th of December. Place to be is Little Devil in Tilburg. Antillectual and Outlive are also playing, that should give you enough reason to be there. Starts at 20:30.
We're always looking for new shows. We want to play any time, anywhere next year. We're currently making plans on where to go etc. So get in touch.
EXTRA SONG ONLINE
The CD and LP are out for some time now. In case you don't own it yet, we did put up another song "Worlds Apart". It's on our myspace: www.myspace.com/saidanddonehardcore
You can get a copy of the CD/LP at our shop. We made some package prices (amazing isn't it?). Shirt + LP or Shirt + CD is now 15 euro in total instead of 20/19. Saves you 2 cokes/beers.
People in the US, contact Surprise Attack Records. They should have our record up in their webstore soon. Everyone else check out that label anyway, good stuff.
We are currently working on new songs and looking into options where to record etc. We're aiming for a new release early next year. We'll see, nothing certain yet.
ZINES
We love zines. Reading doesn't hurt you know. Anyway, we're appearing in two zines:
FACE REALITY #2 from Belgium.
http://www.myspace.com/facerealityfanzine
Including interviews with The Icemen, Powered Records, Youngblood and Tim Mouthpiece/Hands Tied etc.
KEEP IT REAL #7 from Greece.

Including interviews with Justice, Down And Outs, Internal Affairs etc.
Both should be available from us soon. We did add some other zines (Face Reality #1, Mass Movement #21) to our shop. More will be added later. Get in touch if you want us to sell your zine.
Ok, that's all for now. Support zines.

Lintfabriek closing down!
We were honored to play the Lintfabriek in Kontich (Belgium) last sunday, it's an amazing place, it would be such a shame to see it go. This place, Goudvishal in Arnhem (Netherlands) as well... It's not so much about the building, but about the history of those places, the bands that played there, the stories... All gone soon... It's just sad. We need places like that.
While I doubt this will have any affect, we can atleast try. So please sign this petition and pass the word, repost it. Hopefully something good will come out of it. At the very least it it will send out a signal.

UK TRIP REPORT
Keywords: Boring, nonsense, bunch of retards, lots of words, without saying too much, hardcore, guitar hero, crazy golf, shows, united kingdom, belgium, Kortrijk, Brighton, Newport, Rob Boyce, Jeff, Didier Losing Streak and more.
Can't stand words at all? You can always ignore the words and just check out the videos.
If anyone has any pictures or video (aside from our own and the MattWBPS pictures ones we used), hook us up!
Oh and we do have some UK editions of our LP left, so check out the shop if you want one.
SEPTEMBER MERCH SALES - FINAL CHANCE TO GET A TEST PRESS!
Ok, while we're on the subject of merch... We do have one test press left (aside from our own test-presses, they are going nowhere). We don't want to put it away, gathering dust (what if it gets worth something someday, oooh), fuck that. We rather give it away. So this is probably your last chance to get one.
Anyway, how can you get one? Simple, order something from our shop or buy something from us at our shows (we'll be keeping a list and write down your email address) in September. Doesn't matter what you buy, a shirt, a CD, vinyl, whatever. Test-press will be shipped out at the beginning of October.
Remember we gave away a test-press with the pre-orders? It went to the United States. Read Mike's story.
SHOWS
We do have a couple of cool shows coming up (check out the shows section), but we're always looking for more shows, any time, any place (any country even). Get in touch people!
Guess that's enough for now again.
Stay classy people.
Said And Done.
PS > Pick up the Bases Loaded 7" and pre-order the Dirty Money 7".
2007-08-20
Okay, early this morning we arrived in the Netherlands again.First and foremost we would like to thank Jeff, Didier, Kai and most importantly Rob Boyce. We owe you guys.
We had a blast.
Aside from thrashing Rob's place and playing Guitar Hero all the time we actually managed to play some cool shows and meet some great people but we'll post a small report on the trip later. Don't be excited ;)
Guess that's all for now. Just wanted to let people know we can be harrassed through mail etc again.
Take care.
PS > If you have the chance to check out Killing Frost on one of the remaining shows of their tour, please support them. They could use your help. Great band, great dubs.

UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE!
I've edited the info below a bit, to reflect the most up-to-date and correct information. In a couple of hours we're off... Byebye. See you soon!
FINAL INFO UK TRIP
(hit refresh if you see one of the 1000 old flyers we've made with old info)
WEDNESDAY AUGUST 15 @ JH Reflex, Kortrijk [ BE ]
THURSDAY AUGUST 16 @ Day off, anarchy in the UK [ UK ]
FRIDAY AUGUST 17 @ Le Pub, Newport [ UK ]
SATURDAY AUGUST 18 @ Wagner Hall, Brighton [ UK ]
Huh? JH Reflex, Kortrijk? YES! When the first show in Hull (UK) got cancelled, we were going to play a show in Didi's Kot, Izegem. That got cancelled though, then a show in Triumph & Tragedy's rehearsel space got arranged. Once again, that got cancelled. And last night (!!!) this show was fixed. Belgian kids are awesome, it's great stuff like this can get fixed so last-second... Amazing. This is hardcore at its finest. Thanks go out to everyone that helped fixing that show (a lot of you tried, thanks!), especially Jeff & Didier (Losing Streak). They fixed it, unbelievable. Looking forward to hitting Belgium again. After the show we'll be heading to the UK. Instead of playing a show on the 16th (Hull got cancelled remember), we'll just chill out and enjoy the UK a bit. On the 17th we'll hit Newport and on the 18th it's time for PLS MOSH 07. Be prepared.
LIMITED SLEEVES AND STUFF LIKE THAT
Save your money, we're coming through. Aside from the regular stuff we'll be having limited UK sleeves with us so if you're into that stuff... Isn't it amazing? Anyway, we got a couple of pre-order editions left and I think there's a release edition left (with the tape). Aside from this all we'll also be taking the Pressure Release Records distro with us. A nice chance to pick up the Mans Ruin & Diablo Blvd tapes for all you tapelovers. (Rest of the tapes sold out already)
DEVIL OR ANGEL...
If you're into crappy (can you say dark recording?) video's... Check this out. You're better off listening to the original though. Great band. Also check out World Collapse, if you didn't already that is.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5StzE3J9Niw
Ok that's all for now. Take care. Hope to see you on the road!

PS > Check out the new releases by Losing Streak, Black Haven & Trenchfoot. Good stuff.
2007-07-26
Yo! ATTN UK!!We've just heard the Hull show is cancelled.
So we're looking for a new show on
THURSDAY 16TH OF AUGUST
Preferably together with:
Killing Frost - http://www.myspace.com/killingfrostarmy
They're on tour as well and were playing the original show. Besides that they're a great band. So...
If you need other bands: Lifer & Hellmouth were originally playing as well and still would love to play. Do the math.
If anyone can hook us up that would be great! We don't care where. A venue, a house, a basement, whatever. We just want to play. Get in touch!
OTHER DATES WE'RE PLAYING
17th of August - Newport. (/w Killing Frost)
18th of August - Brighton (PLS MSH FEST 07)
2007-07-07
THANKS
First things first. Thanks go out to everyone that made the two releaseshows possible. Jonne & Serge for hooking us up with the show @ Innocent, Hengelo (NL). At first it seemed that the lineup and venue changes would never end, but in the end the show was crazy. Steyaert & Genet Records for the show @ Bargehuis, Brugge (BE). It was great to be in Brugge again. Gert-Jan & Fieke Shield Recordings for hooking us up with the vinyl and investing their time and money in us (they're obviously crazy). Ofcourse all the bands we played with, especially Losing Streak, Deal With It & Sunpower. Great bands, solid dudes. And maybe more important, everyone that showed up, moshed, sang along, nodded their heads, picked up our LP or just stood in the back not caring ;) We had a blast. If anyone has video or picture material, feel free to hook us up!
LEFT-OVERS RELEASE SHOW EDITION / PRE-ORDER EDITION LP'S
To everyone that couldn't make it to the releaseshows or missed out on the pre-orders. Not all hope is lost for you. We have put up a couple of both editions of the LP on our site. You gotta be fast though since we already got some mails about them and we didn't even made it public yet so... We've also put up some new shirts. Lots of color combinations, right in time for the summer.

Distro's should get in touch with Shield Recordings for some nice wholesale rates.
UK
After succesfully invading Spain at the beginning of the year and playing shows in Belgium & Germany, we're now aiming for the United Kingdom. We'll be heading over there in mid-August. We're playing Hull (with Killing Frost a.o.) on the 16th, Newport on the 17th (with Killing Frost + Abandon Ship) and Brighton (PLS MOSH 07) on the 18th. Keep an eye on the site for all the details. Good tips on what to do and where to go in the UK while we're there are appreciated ;)
We're also looking for more shows after the vacation. September, October, November, December. Get in touch and hook us up! We want to play.
For now we're working on new songs and enjoying the summer.
Take care people.

TOMORROW. BELGIUM. BE THERE.
2007-06-27
You probably already heard about it. But in case you missed out on all the great lineup, venue changes etc (...) this is all you need to know. I also deleted the old posts on the site (with the old, now incorrect info) and here's the last and final info (I hope so atleast) :

30 JUNE 2007 @ Innocent, Hengelo (NL)
/w Earth Crisis (USA), Eye Of Judgement, Deal With It (UK) & Losing Streak (our friends from BE, check em out!). Doors: 19:00. Entrance €6.
So NOT @ Willemeen, Arnhem. NOT @ The Stage, Arnhem. Bury Your Dead is NOT playing. Neither are Zero Mentality, Reproach or Outlive (check out their demorelease show on the 28th of June @ De Kelder, Amersfoort (NL)!). This is the final lineup and location. Innocent is a really small venue (aside from it being a fucking great venue with great people) and around 98 reservations are made already. I suggest you do the same if you want to come. Just mail to reserveren@innocent.nl. If you do, make sure you're coming though. Nothing shittier than lots of reservations and no people showing up.
4 JULY 2007 @ Bargehuis, Brugge (BE)
/w Sunpower (BE), Psalm (BE), Ruins (BE) & The Brave Do Not Fear The Grave (BE). Doors: 17:00. Entrance €6.
We can't wait to return to Brugge. Our previous show over there was off the hook. We really enjoyed that show. Hope to see all of you there again!
At both shows we'll have limited release show editions of the LP. We'll be including a little surprise with it, but we're not going to tell anything about that just yet. You'll see at the shows. We also have a couple of pre-order editions left that we'll be selling as well (the pre-order page has been taken down by the way) if people are interested.
Aside from the vinyl we'll also have new shirts. Almost summer-time, so you can expect lots of colors. Don't be afraid people. It's okay. Really.
2007-06-19
Ok. Just a short update on the pre-orders:
We still have some pre-orders left and because of the delay at the pressing plant you can still pre-order untill the 22nd of June.
Do (Deeeeeeew) it!
To everyone that already pre-ordered: Thanks a lot! We'll start shipping on the 26th of June. Still before the release show, but not as soon as we hoped. Sorry for the delay, this is out of our hands.
Hope to see you all at the releaseshows. We'll probably have new shirts by then. It's summer time, hope you people aren't afraid of colors...
2007-05-16
Finally! Here's the pressrelease. Feel free to repost it anywhere!
Said And Done LP pre-orders up now!
While the CD is out for some time now and getting great reviews (see below for some quotes), we at Shield Recordings are pretty stoked we can finally announce the release of the LP version of Said And Done's ‘Everyday'. The LP features a new design, but no worries, as you can see above the great drawing by Nabbe The Bastard remains.
As for pressing info: There will be 500 LP's pressed. 100 will come on red/black flamed vinyl. 50 of those will be pre-order copies. The other 50 will be release show copies. Both will have different limited sleeves. The other 400 will come on transparant red vinyl. Oh boy!
The release show is set for the 30th of June @ Willemeen, Arnhem. As for other bands playing, take a look at this great diverse lineup: Zero Mentality (DE), Deal With It (UK), Reproach (BE), Tenement Kids, New Morality, Losing Streak (BE), Outlive & Bury Your Dead (USA). Come on over and do the twist with them.
If you didn't check out the CD yet or you want to refresh your memory, here are some MP3's:

Use Your Head
ORDERING INFO
Pre-orders will be shipped BEFORE the release show (around the 15th of June), so you can learn the words and practice your precious dancing moves for the show. Oh and we'll throw in a test-press amongst the pre-orders as well. Winner will be selected randomly, no announcements. You'll just find it in the mail. The excitement!
PRE-ORDER YOUR COPY NOW!
PRE-ORDER YOUR COPY NOW!
PRE-ORDER YOUR COPY NOW!
If you want to save some postage money, LP's will be 9 euro at shows.
We'll get back to you with the exact payment details when you enter the pre-order form, but here's the most important info:

REVIEWS
...Everyday reminds you of the glory days of hardcore... Said And Done have the quality and balls to strike hard in a scene that seems to be asleep... - Onno Cro Mag (Aardschok (NL) - April 2007)
Here's a good example how modern hardcore with "sung" vocals should sound...Overall, one of the better Current European hardcore bands... - Dave K. (QuickFix Fanzine (USA) - April 2007)
...Everyday delivers in full...I'm way into it...this is definitely one of the best European hardcore records I've encountered as of late. Great work. - Andrew (Aversionline.com (USA) - April 2007)
A couple of young Dutch kids are single-handedly turing back the clock on hardcore...Despite their age they know how it all sounded in the 80s, and are giving it the right dose of groove and aggression. Personally I'm blown away... Don't miss out on this one. - Martijn Welzen (Mass Movement Magazine (UK))
SAID AND DONE's stand-out characteristic is borne from the shouted lead vocals which manage to be surprisingly melodic and flexible, not unlike MAXIMUM PENALTY, minus the awkward "grooving."...their songwriting is exceptionally strong and Everyday never misses a beat. Solidly recommended. - Jordan A. Baker (Pastepunk.com (USA) - May 2007)

Yesterday. 't Hert in Sint Anthonis. Hometown to Joost and me (Pim).
We want to thank everyone that showed up and had a good time with us, we had a blast! Be it moshing, singing along, banging their head or simply drinking in the back, thanks a lot!

In case you missed it:
Andrew from Aversionline.com posted a review of our full length "Everyday", alongside a review of Heartfelt's latest effort "Take It Or Leave It", on his site.
Aversionline.com is a great site. I discovered some great bands through that site, Social Decay for instance. Check that band out if you didn't already. You will not be dissapointed.
Check out the review here.
Some quotes:
...Everyday delivers in full...I'm way into it...this is definitely one of the best European hardcore records I've encountered as of late. Great work.
Aside from "Use Your Head" he also put up "Reflections" for download. It's not available online elsewhere, so if you don't have the CD this is your chance to check it out. It's the most mellow song of the record I guess.
Check it out while you still can. Don't know how long those MP3's will be up...
2007-04-13
Yes, that's right, nothing wrong with your vision. An all new and fresh website. It needs a couple of finishing touches, but oh well... here we go.
Let me know when you encounter any strange things: strange placement of elements, bugs... you know the drill.
PS > If you still see parts of the old design: Hit refresh!
2007-03-29
Ok let's see... What's going on.
We're working on a tour report about our trip to SPAIN. Spain (or should we say Africa Carles? hehe) was great, we'll never forget those days. The damn thing probably will take some time to finish, because we're all pretty busy. For now we just want to thank Carles from Deathwish Team Girona, Carlos & Real Crisis and Jairo & Enter The Nightmare and everyone else that helped us out in anyway. Thanks a lot dudes!
The "Pressure Release 2007" European new breed TAPE COMPILATION that got released on LIGHT THE FUSE is already sold out. We contributed our song, Use Your Head, to it. If you can pick it up from a distro... Do it, you will not be dissapointed. Light The Fuse was great as well, thanks for everyone that sang along, moshed, stagedived and what not during our set. Especially since everybody was getting a bit tired from 2 days of great bands. Thanks a lot! Rob.. Next year again, same place. No excuses.
Oh yeah we're all over the PRESS now, uhuh. We're getting some nice reviews on Everyday. Check out this Aardschok (NL) review for an instance. For all you non-Dutch readers, it says something along the lines of "Everyday makes you think of the glory days of hardcore. Names like Bad Brains, Underdog, Cro-Mags, Maximum Penalty, Leeway & Beowulf pop up while listening to this record. Said And Done has the quality and balls to strike hard in a scene that appears to be asleep." These are not our words, but it's sure nice to read something like that about your release. Be on the lookout for some interviews as well. A small interview in the april issue of Aardschok (NL) that is already out, a bigger one in the upcoming Rock Tribune issue (NL/BE). Maybe even cooler, check out Rising Tide #1, a fanzine from Belgium featuring an interview with us. Persistent Vision #3, also from Belgium will feature an interview as well. Fanzines rule, get in touch if you want to do an interview. We're more than happy to answer your questions.
The LP version of EVERYDAY, also on Shield Recordings, is still happening for sure. We're working on the artwork for the LP as we speak. It will be a bit different from the CD. No worries, Nabbe's great drawing will be staring at you from the front of the cover for sure. As soon as we have a releasedate/pre-order date or something close to that for you we'll let you know.
As for UPCOMING SHOWS... This saturday (31st of March) we're playing Brugge in Belgium! Together with Shredder, The Struggle and Losing Streak. If you're close, get your ass over there. It's going to be a party. On wednesday (4th of April) we'll be playing at Innocent in Hengelo again. Merauder, New Morality & Cheap Thrills are also playing! Saturday after that (7th of April) we'll be invading Belgium again. Roeselare will be the place to be. Hope to see everyone there! Oh and ofcourse, we can always do with more shows. Get in touch to book us, we want to play everywhere.
Ok, last one. NEW SONGS. Yes, we're working on new songs. Maybe we're going to play one of them live already, we'll see. For now, just pick up Everyday and learn the words to those songs and singalong!
That's all for now I guess. You're more uptodate than you wished for... Oh well, take care!
2007-01-11
EVERYDAY - OUT ON FEBRUARY 3RD

Yep, that's it, in all it's glory. The great drawing is by Nabbe, the bastard. We've also set a date, so get your agenda and write it down. SATURDAY FEBRUARY 3RD : Shield Recordings showcase @ The Stage, Arnhem (NL). First time our CD will be for sale. For 10 of those precious euros you'll get 12 songs in return. 25 minutes in total, recorded at Studio 195 with Patrick Delabie. Check out these two songs of the record (if you didn't already) :
Or check them out at our Myspace page. Feel free to leave a comment while you're there!
If you can't make it to the release show but want to get your copy as soon as possible, just shoot us a mail and we'll work something out.
The LP will follow later, somewhere in spring this year. We'll let you know when we have more info about that. Cause we can't wait to get our hands on that one ourselves.
TAPE COMPILATION
We love tapes. Aside from the new record that's coming out we're also appearing on the Pressure Release Records tape compilation with "Use Your Head". The tape will be released at the Light The Fuse fest. Be sure to pick this tape up because with bands like World Collapse (GERMANY), Go For Broke (SWEDEN), Dirty Money (UK), Sixpack (POLAND), Civil Terror (NL), Out Come The Wolves (SPAIN), Damaged Goods (BELGIUM), Killing Frost (PORTUGAL) and many more from all over Europe you don't want to miss out on this one.

Okay, the word is out. We're posting about the new songs and the upcoming full length everywhere now. Sorry if you're seeing it pop up multiple times, we're just trying to get the word out as good as possible:SAID AND DONE UPDATE - NEW MP3's!
We just finished recording our upcoming full length "Everyday" at Studio 195 with Patrick Delabie. As expected we had a blast once again. The outcome of these sessions will be out at the end of January, start of February 2007. Our friends from Shield Recordings will take care of both a CD and LP (will be out a bit later though) release.
You can expect 12 songs. 25 minutes of heavy but melodic hardcore. Some grooving songs, some fast songs. As for influences, think Cro Mags, Bad Brains, Crown Of Thornz, Leeway, Motorhead, Beowulf etc. Whatever, since such lists always give you the wrong idea, just make up your own mind by listening to the following two songs we already put up for you. Blast them at full volume and learn the words:
01. Controlled
02. Use Your Head
You can also check out both songs above on our site (yes normal sites still exist!) or at our myspace page. URL's below.
Feel free to repost this, tell your friends, share the songs on soulseek, play them at the local disco, write about it in your online diary or whatever.
That's all for now. Enjoy the melodies.
Take care, Said And Done

Back. Yesterday we came back from our stay at Studio 195 recording our full length. Needless to say we had a blast. Patrick Delabie remains our hero.
We're really siked about the record and can't wait to let it out into this fucked up world. Keep an eye on this page for more details and even better... MP3's. Stuff will end up here SOON. Untill then take care.
2006-11-28
Time for an update again I guess...
Show we played on the 23rd with Cro Mags
We got some great reactions to our show, thanks a lot! We had a great time, hope you all had as well. We went to Essen (Germany) the day after to see the Cro Mags again, that show was even cooler. Restless Youth and World Collapse were amazing as well.
Shop
Since we are getting questions about our merchandise... We've added a shop to the site. You can check it out here. Shirts for 10 euro each (without shipping that is).
Be sure to have Javascript turned on by the way. I tested the shop in Firefox 2.0, Internet Explorer 7.0 and Internet Explorer 6.0, so it should work. If not, just contact us through mail and we'll work something out!
Shows
We're always looking to add shows to our list, especially for next year. We've got a couple coming up. Amongst others, we're hitting Spain, playing Light The Fuse 2007 & playing with Merauder so we can't complain. But the more, the better, hook us up! We'll work something out, we don't ask for much. We just want to play!
Studio
Yeeha, almost... We can't wait to record these songs and let em out into the world. We've been repeating it over and over again but on the 8th of December we're finally heading to Studio 195 to record our full length "Everyday". I guess we'll do a studio report or something after it and post a MP3 as soon as possible. Just keep an eye on it.
That's all for now folks, take care! Keep thinking.
2006-11-17
The contest for the free tickets to the Cro Mags show is closed!
Instead of 2 winners we picked 3 winners though, but I don't think you guys are going to complain about that. We did get some great responses, of course mails with "Brabant" mentioned were bummed to the top immediately.
Winners have been notified. If you didn't get a message, you didn't win. Sorry for disappointing you, check out asice.net instead. They are giving tickets away as well. Give it a try.
Anyway, we're really looking forward to the show, be sure to be there!
2006-11-07
UPDATE: Contest closed!
So let's start off November with some sharing...
We're giving away some places on our guestlist for the Cro Mags/Fearless Vampire Killers show we're playing at De Helling in Utrecht on the 23rd of November! The last show we'll be playing before we're heading for the studio to record "Everyday", our full length record.
What you need to do? Just mail us at contest@saidanddone.org why you deserve those places. We're pretty curious to see what you can come up with haha. That's all there is to it. We'll pick 2 winners and they can go to the show with a friend. So that's 2 x 2 tickets.
I went to their show at de Goudvishal, their first show of this tour, and it was pretty fucking great. You don't wanna miss out, be there!
And while we're at it, giving away stuff that is, we have some old Stab Back shirts laying around that we want to give away as well. Just check out this page. Pick a design you want and mail us your preferred size so we can check if we still have one for you. Don't forget to mention at which show you want to pick up the shirt, cause we're not sending them out.
2006-10-13
So let's see. What do we got for you this time...
NEW SITE
Well, if you were here before you probably notice already, it looks a bit different. The previous version was thrown together in a hurry and this version is a bit easier to manage and will be more up to date. If you notice any bugs let us know!
NEW SHIRTS
Since the first shirts are almost completely gone, we've got like 4 left or something, we thought it was time to get ourselves some new shirts. People liked the "panther" design a lot so we did print that one again, different color this time though. Check out the image below to see the different designs, colors etc. Pick it up at our shows.
SHOWS
The show on the 27th of October @ De Stage, Arnhem with Iron Age, Restless Youth and Bratpack was cancelled but we're playing another show with Bratpack on that date. Come join the party @ Hiernaast, Wijchen instead. Be sure to check out Bratpack by the way, they've got a great demo coming up. Check out some songs here.
We're also pretty siked to announce we're playing Light The Fuse next year! More details later on.
We'll not be adding a lot of new shows before we're hitting the studio in December. Just keep an eye on the list. If you want to book us for shows after the studio dates don't hestiate to contact us! We want to play, like any other band, as much as possible!
That's all for now I guess,
HOUDOE!
2006-10-08
We recently did an interview with "Cosmos Gaming", a site that aside from stuff about gaming also reviews CD's and does interviews.Check it out here.
By the way, feel free to contact us if you want to do an interview yourself for your zine/website whatever.

In a short time a lot of stuff happened or got confirmed. Here we go, check it out:FULL LENGTH CD/LP
We have a set of new songs ready and we can't wait to record them. We'll be heading to Studio 195 to record with Patrick Delabie early December. We enjoyed working with him in the past and can't wait to get back. The full length will come out on both CD and LP and will be released by Shield Recordings before the end of February 2007. As with the studio, we worked with Gertjan & Fieke before and they did (and are still doing) a great job. Never change a winning team.
More details later.
2006 PROMO
The two songs we recorded with Michiel Toenink did get some great feedback. Thanks for all your comments (be it on myspace, forums, mail or in person). INTRODUCING WESSEL
Say HI to Wessel! He's the 3rd guitarist we're adding to the family. We're not going the Iron Maiden way, he'll be replacing Stef or Remco when they for whatever reason can't play a show. Wessel has been a friend of the band for quite some time now and was at the rehearsels most of the time anyway. We knew he played the guitar pretty well (he was in some bands with Stef), so instead of letting him drink all the beer we put him to use.
NEW SHIRTS

We have some new shirts. Only 25 made, available in S, M, L, XL, XXL. Just pick them up at our shows.
COMPILATION
We'll be contributing a song to the upcoming Pressure Release Records compilation tape. It will feature some great new hardcore bands from all over Europe like Civil Terror (NL), Common Cause (NOR), Damaged Goods (BE), Go For Broke (SWE), One Voice (BE), Soulfire (NOR), World Collapse (GER) etc. etc. etc. The label is run by Pim together with Rob (Light The Fuse). Also check out the other releases, The Tenement Kids & Diablo Boulevard demo's.
